Access & Inclusion

As a company that includes artists from a diverse range of backgrounds—including working-class and refugee communities—and with lived experience of disabilities (including dyspraxia, neurodivergence, and quadriplegic cerebral palsy), we are deeply committed to making our work as accessible as possible.

Below, you will find general access information for our current projects. We recognise that access needs are unique, and we welcome the opportunity to make reasonable adjustments to better accommodate you.

General Information

 

The POP UP Katharine experience gives library users an option to take a set of headphones and in your own way listen to two audio experiences - one created specifically for libraries, and one which provides an over view of Katharine’s story.

 

The way you listen is up to you (for example you ccan sit or wander round the library or listen whilst staring out of a window!) 

 

A visual story document will be available here from September 1st, and will be available at each venue. This is a step-by-step document with photos and plain text that walks an audience member through both audio experiences

 

The KATHARINE library performances uses silent disco headsets which are over ear  headphones, see tour details for access information.  

 

The KATHARINE Artist Talk is a conversation between writer Nicola Werenowska and producer Matthew Linley.  A small audience (usually 15 or so) is sat in a semi circle with Nicky and Matthew.  The talk includes Nicola reading from the work and collectively listening to some of the tracks from the project (on the headsets described above)

 

The KATHARINE workshop is led by Nicola Werenowska.  This is an interactive workshop where Nicola share writing tips, exercises and techniques to help unlock creative thinking, develop writing skills and get inside a real characters life.  No previous experience is necessary.  You are welcome to bring your writing tools of choice (laptops, tablets, pens, paper etc)
